Pocono Raceway is located in the beautiful Pocono Mountain Resort area of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Pocono is within driving distance of several major metropolitan areas; New York and Philadelphia are two hours away.

Most people don’t realize all of the unusual facets that Pocono has concerning its location and its structure. Pocono is in the Magic Triangle – New York, Philadelphia and Pocono Raceway are all 90 miles away from each other Pocono is within 200 miles of 60 million people, we are in the highest population density of any other NASCAR/INDYCAR track. A family-owned venue that is fiercely independent and has a loyal fan following.

This 2.2 mile road circuit has something for everyone, numerous turns with an over 3000′ straightaway.

Motorsports Activity

As this campground is open to the public to book spots, we do not allow any motorsports activity in the camping area. This is to ensure the safety of all guests. You and your participants will be able to unload their motorsports equipment in the Support Garage when they arrive on-site.

In July 2010 Pocono Raceway began the installation of a 3 megawatt solar photovoltaics system. Upon completion the racetrack became the largest solar-powered sports facility in the world. The “solar farm” encompasses approximately 25 acres and consists of almost 40,000 solar modules, which satisfies the energy consumption for the entire racing complex and will help power 1,000 homes. By December 2010, with less than four months in operation, the Pocono system had surpassed the 1,000,000 kilowatt hour production mark. Over the next 20 years the system is expected to produce in excess of 72 million kilowatt hours and offset 3,100 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually. Sheep are used to keep the grass to a low level.

Gates Open	Gates open at 7:00am and close at 7:00pm After 7:00pm, the gate will be closed and the night security line will need to be called for entering or exiting the property. The night security line is 570-972-5298. We ask that if exiting is needed it be done in groups so our night guard is able to still patrol the property as part of his normal duties.

Camping	Yes Any RV or campers will have a charge for camping. Free camping for tents. The track has full RV hook ups. You must contact the track directly to reserve. All campers will need to exit the property by 7:00pm on the last day of your event unless additional nights are purchased through the ticket office. Unfortunately, we do not have enough for every spot, so these will be first come first serve. Ice and firewood are available on-site for an additional fee.
