Carolina bliss…southern adrenaline! Carolina Motorsports Park is the only purpose built road racing facility in the Carolinas. It is located in Kershaw, SC about an hour south of Charlotte, NC and 45 minutes outside Columbia, SC. Carolina Motorsports Park was developed by a group of enthusiasts and racers from the south east. Joe Hooker and Bob Humphreys played leading roles in getting the project built. Land acquisition was completed in July 1998 with construction starting soon thereafter. The track was designed by famed track designer Alan Wilson and the full 2.3 mile road course opened in July 1999.
